Deal Forecast using QMDJ case#3

By MO  Published On June 28, 2020

One of its modern applications of QMDJ is forecasting whether a deal is worth investing.  We can use this technique to assess whether one can get a profitable return from a deal.

Below is one of the cases that my clients asked:

Question: Asker asked about whether the deal offered to him can make money or not?.

Figure 1 shows the QMDJ Hour chart is plotted based on the time of question asked:

To understand how to read this chart, please go to this link of “How to Read the QMDJ Hour Chart“

Figure 1: The QMDJ Hour Chart for Forecasting a Deal

In forecasting, we need to identify the Day and Hour stem respectively.  Figure 1 shows the Day stem Bing (in the NE palace of earth element) and Hour stem Yi (in the W palace of metal element).  The Day stem represents the asker while the Hour stem represents the deal.

The Hour stem Yi is produced by the Day stem Bing as the earth elemental NE place produces the metal elemental W palace.  This means the asker shows the interest in taking up this deal.  However, he needs to assess whether this deal will make the profit.  The DLife door in the S palace represents the profit while the stem Wu in the NW represents the capital investment.

Looking in the DLife door in the S palace, it comes with SFloss which represents potential loss in profit, and the stem Ding and Gui that formed the Phoenix Fall represents an inauspicious outcome.  In addition, the DLife door in the S palace counters the stem Wu in the NW Palace.  This represents a loss in the deal.

As such, the asker is advised to not take the deal.
